The department

The Royalty & Copyright department manages all revenue for Armada Music and is responsible for the financial handling of royalties for more than 6,000 artists worldwide. Our royalty department is one of the largest in the world and is challenging due to the amount of data and complexity. The department works closely with the financial administration and the Legal & Business Affairs department. The process is versatile and requires maximum focus and accuracy. Processing and transforming an enormous diversity of income sources into royalty calculations and overviews requires an above-average affinity with data-driven work. We are looking for a new colleague who preferably has experience with this specific data administration and a passion for music.

Your responsibilities

Within the team we carry out the following activities, among others. Depending on your experience and level, you will be (co-)responsible for part or all of this:

  • Processing revenue files of DSPs, distributors, labels and collective management organizations;

  • Processing costs and financial transactions;

  • Validating, cleaning and normalizing data in our royalty system Curve;

  • Perform royalty calculations based on contract terms;

  • Implementation of corrections, claims and retroactive adjustments (recalculations);

  • Preparing and running royalty runs and delivering royalty overviews/statements;

  • Monitor and maintain contract links and rights/split data;

  • Reconciliation: matching sales and royalty data with the financial administration;

  • Identifying, analyzing and resolving discrepancies in data and payments;

  • Answering questions from artists, managers and partners about royalties and statements.

Job requirements

Your profile

  • You have experience in a similar position within a music or entertainment company;

  • You can work quickly without sacrificing accuracy;

  • You have good numerical insight and highly developed analytical skills;

  • You have excellent knowledge of Excel;

  • Experience with databases and data processing is an advantage;

  • Experience with Curve is an advantage;

  • You are social, eager to learn and like to take initiative;

  • You work independently, but are also a team player;

  • At least conversation level of Dutch is mandatory, as well as fluency in English;

  • You preferably live in (the vicinity of) Amsterdam or Hilversum.
