HR Consultant

Due to the growth of Armada Music, we’re looking for an HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Are you a pro-active, hands-on HR Consultant able to coach and advise managers throughout a wide range of HR matters? Are you on top of the latest news concerning compensation, benefits and labor law? Then this is the job for you.

As an HR Consultant, you will report directly to the Head of Human Resources. You are the go-to person for management, delivering operational support regarding retention, managing policies, performance management, job leveling, learning and development, compensation and benefits, and absenteeism. You’ll be the first point of contact for employees and provide effective support on a wide variety of day-to-day HR matters. As Armada Music holds offices in Amsterdam, Laren, New York, and London, you will be operating internationally.

What will you be doing?

• Collaborate with managers to maximize team performance, help build a positive culture, continuously strive for growth and increase management capabilities;

• Support the Head of Human Resources with workforce planning and organizational change initiatives;

• Assist with (re)designing and implementing company policies (i.e. talent management, benefits);
• Advise management on compensation, benefits and promotions;
• Execute general HR administration tasks regarding contracting, documenting and reporting;
• Support aspects of the employee lifecycle management, such as onboarding and offboarding;
• Guide management through the performance management cycle and optimize processes;
• Inspire employees to set career goals and offer support in achieving them; advise on training needs and arrange employee training programs (study agreements);
• Review and update job descriptions;
• Develop and organize training sessions on specific employee lifecycle topics or HR systems;
• Deal with absence management and act as a case manager for employees;
• Address employee requests and potential issues (e.g. grievances);
• Provide management with monthly reports regarding HR data/information;
• Take responsibility for the monthly handover of changes to the payroll in the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and the United States.

What will you bring to the table?

• You’ve acquired a relevant (Bacholer’s) degree. Bonus points for a degree in BSc HR Management, Business Administration, MSc/MA HR/Organizational Psychology;
• You have experience with HRM Software (HR2day is a plus), ATS (Recruitee is a plus) and Microsoft Office;
• You have at least five years of international work experience as an HR Advisor, HR Consultant or in a similar role;
• You have actual knowledge of labor legislation;
• You are able to draft/design clear and fair company policies;
• You thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment;
• You are able to prioritize, work across multiple tasks and projects, and communicate on all levels;
• You are able to apply creativity to critical thinking;
• You possess great communication, interpersonal and organizational skills;
• You exercise discretion whilst handling sensitive and confidential information;
• You are highly proficient in spoken and written English. Bonus points for equal proficiency in spoken and written Dutch.

A certificate of conduct (VOG) is required for the position and a reference check is also part of the application procedure.
