Creative Manager

Then you may just be the chosen one, because we’re currently looking for a Creative Manager!

As our new Creative Manager, you will be part of Armada Music’s Publishing team. Reporting to the creative team lead in the Amsterdam office, you will strengthen the Creative and A&R team, support the existing roster of writers and artists, and scout new songwriting talent. Above anything else, you love music and value the origin of a hit record (the song), which is why you’ll play a material role in setting up writing camps and sessions internally and externally.

What will you be doing?

• You will establishing new (and maintain existing) relationships with producers, songwriters and artists whilst nurturing and developing your own roster of writers and producers;

• You will actively search for writers, producers, topliners, musicians and other specialized talent to bolster the quality of our roster’s repertoire;

• You will actively search for new commercial opportunities for Armada Music Publishing’s catalogue.

• You will set up and host writing camps and sessions in all sorts and sizes in Armada Music’s studios in Amsterdam and Laren;

• You will visit performances, showcases, club nights and similar events to discover new talent and maintain existing relationships; 

• You will use and further develop your knowledge of music to help the producers and writers on the publishing roster reach their full potential;

• You will be an ambassador for our songwriters, producers and the studio activities within and beyond the organization.

Who are we looking for?

• You acquired a relevant degree, at least ‘HBO’ (Dutch standard) or bachelor’s degree;

• You are very passionate about music and specifically the genres Armada is most active in such as but not limited to dance, hip hop, indie and pop, yet cherish a broad musical taste in general;

• You have qualified work experience in a creative environment and/or have worked with musical talent in the past and know the ins and outs of dance music and Armada Music, and you are extremely knowledgeable about the discographies of relevant artists and catalogs from many other labels worldwide;

• You have a specific interest in knowing the people behind a hit song, from recording engineers and songwriters to executive producers and A&R managers. Naturally, you’re keen to meet and work with them; 

• You have a good understanding of the exploitation of music copyright and the role of publishers and collecting societies therein;

• You’re able to cope with pressure and deadlines very well; you’re able to keep your head straight while working on multiple projects at the same time;

• You are resourceful, creative, pro-active and a team player;

• You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, Dutch is a plus;

• You currently live in or near Amsterdam or Laren or are willing to travel to those offices.
