Job description

As an Analytics & Insights Intern at Armada Music, you’ll work closely with our Analytics & Insights team, while also supporting the Marketing team with data-driven strategies. You’ll dive into streaming and audience data, track artist and campaign performance, and help enhance internal reporting tools. This internship is perfect for someone with a strong analytical mindset, a passion for music, and an interest in how data fuels both artist development and marketing strategy in today’s music industry.

What You’ll Do

  • Work with large datasets from streaming platforms, social media, and internal sources to analyze artist, track, and campaign performance.

  • Write and optimize SQL queries to extract insights, automate reporting, and improve data visibility.

  • Help track KPIs across streaming, playlisting, audience growth, and campaign effectiveness.

  • Support predictive and trend analysis to uncover growth opportunities and marketing impact.

  • Segment audiences and develop listener insights to inform marketing and promotional strategies.

  • Present findings through clear, insightful reports and visualizations for the A&R, Marketing, Digital, and Catalog teams.

Job requirements

Who You Are

  • Currently enrolled in or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Marketing Analytics, or a related field.

  • Proficient in Excel and SQL, with experience working with large datasets.

  • Comfortable with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or Google Data Studio) and storytelling with data.

  • Strong analytical thinker with great attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving attitude.

  • Passionate about music and how data can influence decision-making across the industry.

  • Based in (or within commuting distance of) Amsterdam and enrolled at a Dutch university for the duration of the internship (starting April 2025).

Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)

  • Experience with Python or R for data analysis and automation.

  • Familiarity with music and marketing data sources (Spotify for Artists, Chartmetric, Meta Ads, Google Analytics).

  • Understanding of API integrations for data extraction and automation.
